I grew up in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. I attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York from 1988- 1992, receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree. Before coming to Southwest Florida in 1999, I lived in Perth, Western, Australia, Incline Village, Nevada, Paradise Island in the Bahamas, Chicago, Illinois, and Traverse City, Michigan. I have lived and worked on Sanibel since 2005.

During my years on the island, I served at PTA President and SAC chairperson at The Sanibel School, spearheaded the new landscaping and playground at the school, coached youth soccer, and served as a board member of the "Ding" Darling Wildlife Society.

Sanibel is an amazing place. It has all of the amenities and beauty of a resort destination. At the same time, it has the benefits of a small- town community and of a sanctuary island. With over 60% of the island protected as conservation space, wildlife has the space to thrive and residents have the opportunity to experience nature in all of its glory.

Miles of bike paths, spectacular beaches, great restaurants and shops, abundant wildlife, and a huge amount of community activities make Sanibel an ideal place to live.
